Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) criticized President Donald Trump’s "Big Beautiful Bill," arguing that the legislation shifts significant financial benefits toward wealthy Americans while reducing funding for key safety-net programs.
Warren Targets Trump’s Tax Cuts On Saturday, Warren attacked Trump’s signature legislative package in a post on X, saying it represents "the largest transfer of wealth from working people to the rich in modern American history."
"$1 trillion+ handed to the top 1% in tax breaks," she wrote.
She added, "$1 trillion+ ripped out of Medicaid and food assistance."
She further said, "That’s Trump’s signature policy ‘win.’"

Lawmakers Clash Over Trump Policies And Deficit Earlier, Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said the U.S. had the resources to improve health care, education and infrastructure, arguing that the issue was wealth distribution rather than affordability.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) called for a grassroots movement to address inequality and criticized Trump’s "Big Beautiful Bill," saying it benefited wealthy Americans while reducing healthcare access.
Meanwhile, Rep. Thomas Massie warned that Trump’s policies, including the "Big Beautiful Bill" and increased spending, could contribute to a projected $2 trillion deficit in 2026.
The Congressional Budget Office estimated the legislation could increase federal deficits by $3.8 trillion, while other analyses projected trillions more in added debt over the next decade.
Trump Bill Threatens Clean Energy Projects Last week, a BlueGreen Alliance report said President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act contributed to $82.8 billion in losses from canceled and delayed clean energy, manufacturing and industrial projects.
The nonprofit said 223 projects were affected, resulting in 111,765 jobs being impacted. It also warned that tax restrictions on 3,034 sites could put nearly $695 billion in investment and almost 1.2 million jobs at risk.
The report linked the impact to Trump’s rollback of clean energy and infrastructure policies enacted under former President Joe Biden.
